Thomas E. Youngdale, Attorney at
Law
Thomas Youngdale graduated from
Lincoln University School of Law and worked as a Self-insurance
Administrator for major corporations including U.S. Steel,
Chevron Corporation and Kaiser Permanente before joining defense
firm Allen, Rhodes & Sobelsohn in their Palm Springs office in
1992. In 1994 he joined the legal department
of Fremont Compensation Insurance Company in San Francisco and
became their Supervising Attorney in that office. In 1998
he spent a year in Sacramento with Mastagni, Holstedt &
Chiurazzi as an applicant's attorney before joining Grancell,
Lebovitz, et al. in their San Jose office. He has been
with Gray & Prouty for the last five years and is currently
working out of the San Luis Obispo office. He has over 30
years of experience in the workers' compensation field and has
served on the boards of the workers' compensation section of
California Manufacturer's Association and California
Self-Insurer's Association. He has represented employers,
insurance carriers and third party administrators with regard to
Long Shore and Harbor Workers cases, Federal Black Lung
litigation and State Workers' Compensation in both Utah (for
U.S. Steel) and California including representation employers
Serious and Willful and Labor Code '132(a) matters. He
also has extensive experience with regard to assisting and
preparing workers' compensation fraud cases for submission and
prosecution by district attorneys' offices in both Northern and
Southern California.
